Summer Lavender Session : Lake Wylie, SC

As we get closer to wrapping up the summer season, kids are heading back to school soon, so what better session to share for my first blog post than this one? My daughter was gracious enough to model for me despite the many bees that were enjoying the lavender around her. A fellow mom who now grows her own lavender was so kind to let me take some pictures of Ava in her field.

This was the first time I had ever seen a lavender field, much less use one for a session. I was in heaven with all the aroma these plants produce. I was even sent home with a small bundle of dried lavender for myself, and enjoyed it for several weeks in my home office.
